Avoid sources of trans fats like are vegetable shortenings and some margarines Also avoid crackers, candies, cookies, snack foods, fried foods, baked goods, and other processed foods made with partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.

To lose weight from your stomach area, you have to do cardio exercise to burn excess calories and fat. Ab workouts will help tone and build stomach muscles which will give you a flat stomach and tight core, but in order to see that great stomach, you must uncover it from the excess weight. Eating a healthy low fat diet and practicing portion control will also help.

Will that make me loose weight from my stomache?
Cause i heard that we dont loose weight when we work out our abbs but we just build muscles.
Thank u :)

Hi, I have not heard this. Ab work helps to strengthen and tone your abs and bring your tummy in. Squats target your butt, thighs, quads, hamstrings. Your core is involved in the exercise, but this is not a primary exercise for abs.

what ive found to work a lot better than regular excercises is yoga. its relaxing and you’re working out without getting tired as easily. ive been doing it for a few months now and ive seen some major results too. but i tried this and its great! :)

@YouTips4U

Oh, I see. Also, I have heard that some ab exercises can actually push your abs out making your stomach look bigger, do you know any exercises that push them back in? Just in case that’s whats happening with me. Also, do you also agree that one of the best ab workouts are squats?

Hi, you can things like fish,beans, eggs, tofu, nuts. All of these have lots of protein. Nuts are high in fat so you’ll want to have small amounts if you are trying to lose weight.

@YouTips4U

You’re right, I will add cheese and yogurt
for snacks. But I dont really ever eat meat, so
Im not sure as to how to get protein.
Any recommendations?

Hi, don’t lose faith, your body will kick in. I’m concerned a bit that your diet may be too restrictive. You don’t mention having any dairy or protein such as meat, fish, chicken. You may also want to add high fiber carbs to help keep you full. Eating a well balanced diet can actually help keep your metabolism revved and you’ll have energy you need for your workouts. Your current diet is fine for a short time, but may not be the best long-term diet.

@YouTips4U

I actually have, 30 minutes of interval training, I believe thats what its called, on thr tredmill. And I ate healthy but now Im just eating a strick diet of fruits and ocassionly eggs for breakfast, salad for lunch, and veggie soup for dinner. with snacks like almonds, and other fruits and veggies and tons of water. its very discouraging to not be seeing results though.

Hi, have you been doing cardio exercise, like walking, jogging, aerobics classes, etc. In addition to your ab workouts, you should also be doing at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise 3-4 times a week. That will help you remove excess tummy fat. You can tone and strengthen your tummy with an 8-10 minute ab routine 3-4 times a week. With cardio and ab work, you should see results. Be sure to watch the junk food and maintain a healthy diet.

i have been trying to get a flat stomach since september, and I still havent got it and im not even fat or anything. sometimes i feel like its never going to happen. any advice on seeing results and staying postitve and moviated?

herbertsel September 3, 2010 at 7:44 pm

just tried this and I love it…I’m going to do this every time I work out

YouTips4U September 3, 2010 at 7:45 pm

Hi, it depends on how much weight you have to lose. Generally 4-6 pounds a month is a safe amount. You don’t want to lose weight too rapidly. Be sure to do your cardio workouts because that’s how you burn calories.
