Hey – Thanks for replying so fast! I’ll give this exercise a try. Also, I started doing one extension exercise with a ball, Knees on floor, tummy resting on ball, head level, slowly raising one arm at a time (ten reps each side). I could alternate with your exercise too. Wish me luck!!
I would think the exercise in this video would work perfectly for you, as it focuses primarily on the rhomboid muscles in the middle of the back. Take it slow and see how it feels.
I have pain at L4-L5 disk, due to degenerative disc disease. I want to strengthen my upper back. I have been told by three docs. that surgery will not help. Acupunture and massage therapy have not helped. Physiotherapy did help – I now have strong core-ab. muscles. due to lots of exercises to help that area, but upper back is getting weak because I lie down alot – standing hurts , pain is just below shoulder blades. Any advice about exercises that I could do to stabilize the spine?
