Gym Workout Routine for 17 year old male?

by Workout Fiend on January 26, 2010

I’m 17 years old at 6′ and 162lbs. I go to the gym alone so I dont really have anyone who can spot me on things like bench press. I’m just looking to keep fit and to maintain a good shape, but I don’t where to find a good workout routine. Before, I used to do 2 miles on the treadmill and then three sets on the express lane (8 workout machines) in NYSC. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good workout routine.

Well what I do, 3 days on, 1 day off. With the days being chest/tri’s, back/bi’s, shoulders, and legs/forearms. Works pretty good, as for exercises I am sure you can find a lot of stuff just on the web with google. I’m fortunate enough to lift with friend who knows lot about that stuff. Try to encourage one of your buddies to go with you, lot more fun.

My health club is Bally Total Fitness, and they have free online workouts. Check ‘em out, one might be right for you…the link I’m including has the Bally Basic Muscle Development Plan on that page. There are click here links to other pages in their site.
