I need help picking a workout routine.?

Okay, so I’m like 5’10 and i weigh about 140, i’m pretty skinny. I want to build muscle though, and i just recently got a Y membership. I need help picking out a workout routine thats gonna help me build muscle mass and get bulk. ALso, I’d rather use the workout MACHINES instead of the dumbbells.

First you need to put on some weight, your too skinny to get bulk.

I would be hesitant to prescribe a workout routine without knowing more about your present level of fitness and health. The best advice I will give you is to invest in several personal training sessions at the Y. You’ve made an excellent investment in joining the gym, so would suggest your taking the next step and invest in a few sessions with a qualifed trainer…not some idiot that is roided out and wants you to look like him. Get qualifed help.

A good trainer will suggest working on your core muscle groups, including chest, back, lets, and shoulders, emphazing easy to perform exercises that you can do.

Weight gain is primarily a factor of diet. Increase your daily caloric intake, maybe to include some protein drinks. Don’t over do it though. Research your products and find something affordable. They can be pricy.

Don’t miss meals, especially now that you are working out. Most people neglect proper nutrition and quit working out in discouragement. It takes time….months!
