I would really like to lose a little bit of weight before summer. Anyone have any advice?
What do you think are good workout routines for teenagers?

You need to do cardio and clean up your diet. Also, gaining muscle will help speed up your metabolism. For cardio, I suggest 3-5 days for about an hour.
Just make sure you break a sweat, this means you are getting your heart rate up, which will increase your metabolism and help you to burn fat quicker.
Hey there,
I would highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Vince DelMonte’s No Nonsense Muscle Building.
It’s a program designed for both men and women who want to gain weight quickly and safetly.
I’m a teen too. I assume you already have a healthy diet. If this is true, you’re halfway there! As for the workouts, it’s good to go 5-6 days a week, and make sure you always have 1-2 days off for your muscles to rebuild. This is important so that you gain muscle, which increases your metabolism. I run 3-5 miles daily on the treadmill (except for sundays). It may sound like quite a lot, but it’s really only 30-40 minutes per day. You want to exercise at least this much to see results. Cardio such as running is very important, because it builds stamina while burning fat. You can take your pick of activities-running, swimming, biking, jumproping, anything that gets your heart pumping. Along with cardio, you must do some muscle conditioning. The two go hand in hand. You can either do weight training, or exercises like sit ups and push ups. Even if you burn fat off our body, you will not have abs and lean looking legs until you strengthen the muscles underneath. It works the other way, though. You could have the strongest muscles in the world, but if they are covered in fat it does no good.
I wish you luck, just stay committed to your exercise program and you will see results before you know it!
