What is a successful workout routine to start losing stomach fat?

I was always trim but from my years in college my stomach isn’t flat anymore. I am about 5’9 and 170 lbs. The only place I need to work on is my stomach and love handles. I have recently got my butt in gear and started hitting the gym as part of my daily routine. I switched to pretty much only drinking water (no soda) and I drink a few beers on the weekend. I am watching what I eat and am extremely motivated.

I need some tips. Has anyone had a successful routine which showed real results? I understand my goal won’t be achieved immediately; however I want to get off to the right start and not waste my time. What exercises/routine will start showing me results? Also tips for eating for a man on the go.

Start with a 10 minute warmup on the bike or the treadmill,then do the following exercises: crunches, side crunches (for your love handles), and situps
