Now i know this is a delicate subject (Army) so just FYI in no way am i meaning to offend anyone at all ok…… my question is what is the WORKOUT routine of a soldier that is in training? I notice that mostly all enlisted military people are really fit. So does anyone with insight knows the workout routine of a soldier like how many pushups they do or how long they run etc. or if they lift weights like what do they start them off with?

It is different for almost everybody. Basically I work out 3-4 times a week. I do chest one day, back the next, then legs, and usually the 4th day is all core/ab work. I wont do situps unless there is a PT test coming up soon. I’ll also run 4 times a week, between 20-60 minutes, depending on my pace.

In basic training there are no weights but there are different methods with every cycle that gos through the training. when i went trough we were on a rotating schedule, some days your pt was all running, some was movement drills, abs, muscle failure, and then your diagnostic PT tests help you keep track of your progress. Also the meals they feed you are actually balanced to provide you the right nutrients (not always the best tasting but it works). Every day is something new just to keep your body from overdoing it. There are a lot of websites out there that give you the daily routine of training. Check them out and if that doesn’t help then go talk to recruiter he might be a ble to give you a DVD they used to give out to help new recruits start preparing for the upcoming training
