What workout routine should I do to stay fast while building muscle?

February 10th, 2010 by Workout Fiend Leave a reply »

I’m 23 years old, I can run pretty fast and I can bench more than my weight. My back and abs are strong, my arms aren’t as good and my legs are in between. I want to find a workout routine that is good for me that fits well into a busy week that builds my speed and strength up. Something that has predictable results that I can use a notebook with is ideal. Any suggestions?

Well, dude i don’t want to sound like advertising or so but kettlebell works for me.

its a healthy way to exercise. I can move freely and its like playing since there is no machine whatsoever. Usually, i do this in the garden, it sounds cheesy but its cool to feel next tot he environment. Its good for the health too.

Usually, 2 hours and a half may do. If you don’t want to do much effort then have the DVD played on your room.

First of all you should know that the prime rule from which the best workout routines are based is that the workout routine itself should not be aimed to lose weight, but rather to lose fat. The “beginner” and “intermediate” workout routines are pretty decent (although, like other reviewers, I am a bit skeptical about the 6 day workout schedule and its potential for burnout). Pilates workout routines are different in that they are exercises that promote strength and sculpture of the body without over stressing the joints.

I workout with a trainer 2 times a week, and we mix it up between strength training, cardio and core fitness. When I’m not at the gym I work out for a half-hour to an hour focusing on cardio training. It’s important to eat healthy, but within reason. I like to make healthy juice drinks in the morning and afternoon, and then eat a normal dinner. Everything in moderation, including moderation I say.
