I have some damage to my ACL that required surgery, and while I used to be an active runner, I find myself unable to do so anymore. I’ve started to get rather fat due to my lack of cardiovascular activity. I need to find cardio that I can do that doesn’t involve swimming, as a pool is not easily available to me. Thanks in advance.
What workout routines would you suggest for someone with severe knee injuries?

Pilate’s! Yes it is cardio, especially if you start as a beginner, then intermediate and then advanced. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, went to Pilate’s for nine months, one hour a week and boy did it make a difference. Best of Luck

biking or cycling has very little impact on the knee and is very effective to maintaining your fitness level. Try taking a spin class…
after i had surgery about a year ago, i found that this was very low impact and also improved my range of motion.
good luck.
