February 10th, 2010

im trying to lose as much weight as i can before june 1st. my goal is 30lbs and i think i can do it. so far ive cut out all drinks, alcohol and non, and only drink water. except milk that’s in my cereal and its skim, i eat Fiber One with nut clusters, and it tastes to good to be healthy!. i only eat 1 serving size, i weigh it on a scale, or measure accordingly. i cut out cheese. i will only eat one serving of wheat bread per day with turkey and mustard. dinner will be a grilled chicken breast and veggies, with proper portion sizes. i eat one Multi vitamin a day after bfast and work out doing push ups and stomach exercises every Morning and night (its like a 10 minute routine). regular routine workouts at the gym 3 days a week and i started cycling and will do my best to get as far as i can, its tuff!! im gonna try and cycle 3 times a week as well! Is this a good plan to fallow? any info appreciated! thanks…

What Is the Best Workout DVD for losing weight ?

February 8th, 2010

I’m currently looking for a DVD which will help me lose a stone and tone up my body. I’m not very athletic but i love to dance. So, I would love a workout DVD with good music and a good choice of routines because i got bored of my last workout DVD ‘Vicky’s Weight Off Workout’ due to the fact that the music was boring and the routines went on and on with the same moves.

Which Workout DVD would you recommend?

Please Help.
Thank You.

What is a successful workout routine to start losing stomach fat?

February 8th, 2010

I was always trim but from my years in college my stomach isn’t flat anymore. I am about 5′9 and 170 lbs. The only place I need to work on is my stomach and love handles. I have recently got my butt in gear and started hitting the gym as part of my daily routine. I switched to pretty much only drinking water (no soda) and I drink a few beers on the weekend. I am watching what I eat and am extremely motivated.

I need some tips. Has anyone had a successful routine which showed real results? I understand my goal won’t be achieved immediately; however I want to get off to the right start and not waste my time. What exercises/routine will start showing me results? Also tips for eating for a man on the go.

I don’t have a day for a particular exercise. I just repeat the cycle and no rest days. Am I doing it right?

Is this realy true about losing body fat?

January 29th, 2010

Burn Fat

There is no fat loss magic to doing cardio on an empty stomach. In fact, most trainers “in-the-know” are using intervals instead of slow, boring cardio to help their clients burn fat fast. Plus, who wants to be doing boring cardio at 6am while their stomach is rumbling? If you could find better home fitness workouts to burn fat, wouldn’t you do those instead?

Myth #2 – You Have to Do Cardio in the Fat Burning Zone

By exercising in the fat burning “Zone”, as some folks like to call it, you only burn a few extra calories than if you weren’t doing any exercise at all! Slow, boring cardio workouts are not the best way to lose belly fat. If you truly want to change your body, you need to use short, burst exercise home fitness workouts.

Myth #3 – You Have to Do Cardio 7 Days Per Week

You don’t need to workout everyday. The truth is, you only need to do 3 short home fitness workouts per week of 45 minutes.

Myth #4 You Have to Do Cardio for at Least 20 Minutes Before You Start Burning Fat

We’re burning fat all the time, even while you sit here and read this message. Sure, exercise increases our fat burning, but it’s not as though the first 20 minutes of any workout don’t burn fat. That makes no sense at all! I’ll show you how the short, burst exercise system helps you achieve more fat loss in less than half the time of a regular cardio workout.

Myth #5 – You Can’t Lose Fat and Gain Muscle at the Same Time

Scientific research and my experience says, “Yes, you can!” A recent study found that men and women can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time

IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE to lose body fat and gain muscle mass at the same time????????????????????????

Time to get serious about losing weight and losing the man chest.?

January 25th, 2010

Okay well, im current 5′10 and weight exactly 200 lbs. i’ve lost 20 pounds ever since the day i started brenchpressing. I would bench press every weekday for 30 minutes (thats how long each gym period is.. for my school) I’ve maintain my weight at 200lbs during the whole summer, without bench pressing..
(Max bench = 205 before school end, right now its 175)

Right now. I’m thinking about losing another 35 pounds, i don’t need to lose weight fast.. I can go slow… I’ve researched about diet and such, and im not eating white rice, bread or anything with flour in it. So i can lose my man chest.

Should i continue weight lifting and lose weight because of a more needy metabolism.. or shall i change my routine for maintaining strength and lose weight?

Well the main question really is..
Should i continue weight lifting and let the lifting burn my fat over time.. or change my routine..?

Thanks, will choose best answer.
