Do muscle building drinks work for women?

March 9th, 2010

I am starting a new work out routine and I was just wondering if muscle building drinks work for women? I see them advertised all the time and I was just wondering if they will help build muscle and burn fat for women? I don’t want to get bulky but I want something that will help me burn some fat during workouts. And if so, what are some of the best kinds to use? Thanks!

What workout routine should I do to stay fast while building muscle?

February 10th, 2010

I’m 23 years old, I can run pretty fast and I can bench more than my weight. My back and abs are strong, my arms aren’t as good and my legs are in between. I want to find a workout routine that is good for me that fits well into a busy week that builds my speed and strength up. Something that has predictable results that I can use a notebook with is ideal. Any suggestions?

Which is more effective in weight loss and/or muscle toning during a workout session:?

February 10th, 2010

I am a pretty healthy 27 yr old 5′4″ 133 lb. female. I try to change up my workout routines pretty frequently, for instance pilates one day, aerobics another, yoga another and weight/ cardio combos on others.
During my weight/ cardio days this is my schedule:
-cardio 20 mins. (either eliptical, stairsmaster, bicycle, or treadmill)
-upper body weight training 20 mins.(various Nautilus machines)
-cardio 10-15 mins.(either eliptical, stairsmaster, bicycle, or treadmill)
-lower body weight training 20 mins.(various Nautilus machines)
-cardio 10-15 mins. (either eliptical, stairsmaster, bicycle, or treadmill)
-abs occasionally for 10 mins. (pilates & yoga take care of that area ?)

Now, what i’m curious to know is, do you think it is better or more effective to focus on one muscle group each workout session? Is the full body not as effective, more effective, or does it really make a difference?

woman trying to build lean muscle!?

February 8th, 2010

Okay, i’m 20 years old and im 5′8 138lbs.. i’ve been going to the gym religiously since about january and i’ve noticed some muscle mass building but not a lot. I’ve not really been dieting persay, just watching what I eat. I need some advice like a diet plan or suggestions on what to eat so that I can buld muscle.People always suggest a high protein diet, but I dont want to gain weight and i feel like eating a high protein diet will make me gain weight and not lose some of my fat. I dont want to be a body builder or anything, but I would like my abs and arms to be muscular. Also if you have some suggestions for my workout routine that would be awesome!

Can you turn man boobs into muscle?

February 8th, 2010

Hi, i’m 13 years of age and i have man boobs. People tell me that the best natural way to get rid of them is to turn them into muscle. But my question is the one above and can i really make my chest tighter by turning them into muscle, or do i have to wait until i’ve finished growing?

Also, if its possible, can you please provide me with a simple pec workout, i don’t have any weights or gym access so just stuff you can do at home. THANKS

Just so you know, the man boobs are glands which are caused by an imbalance of hormones, so losing body fat will not work.
