I’m definitely not fat or anything but I could use some toning up, especially around my tummy. What is the best way to tone up my body overall? And what is the best diet for that? February 10th, 2010I am 30 years old, 5′5″ and 110 pounds. The only workout routine I have ever really done is cardio stuff like running, exercise bike, walking on treadmill, etc. and sit-ups. I have never dieted but try to eat healthy for the most part…lots of salads, fruit, yogurt, vegetables, and calorie free beverages. I just started weight training but only do squats, lunges, bench press, and curls. I am not interested in losing weight, but I do want to get more defined and sculpted muscles. What exercises should I be doing more of, and what foods should I eat regularly to see the quickest results? Thanks for your help!

February 9th, 2010I have very broad shoulders for a women, and I dont want to bulk up on my arms and shoulders using weights. I know pilates tones and lengthens your body so I only want to do pilates to tone up with 45 minutes of cardio also. Im 25 lbs over weight by the way. I have a toddler at home and cant go to the gym yet so I do all my workouts at home. Could anyone please give me a few sample Pilates exercises to tone my upper arms, buns, and abs? I am also eating very healthy, cutting out all white carbs and doing only whole wheat and lean meats and veggies, fruits…the whole nine yards. Ive been eating like this for a few months now, but just started to work out a few days ago with just cardio. I am now ready to add pilates into my routine. Thanks a lot everyone for your help!!!

February 9th, 2010I know a few things about eating right but i am trying to workout (cardio and some weights) but don’t know how long and exactly what to do. I heard that if you don’t keep your heart rate up you’ll just waste your time. Anyone know for a person 350+. How long to do running in place, walking to make it worth it and to start burning pounds and how to tone at the same time? Also do work on the bag and light boxing training. I need to get a routine together to follow so i make sure to fit it in my day. Any useful tips would be great. Thanks
