I am wanting to lose some weight and tone up, any ideas for a good daily workout routine?

I am 5′5″ and range between 140 and 150 lbs. (which is obviously more than Id like to weigh) I have time to work out daily and just don’t know where to start. I want to get rid of fat on my sides, stomach and thighs. And tone up in general.
